Ustadh Hassan Wado
Ustadh Hassan Wado is the founder of Al-Itqaan Institute.
Ustadh Hassan Wado is a student of Shariah (Islamic Law) at King Abdulaziz University in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. He also studies the ten qira'aat (canonical modes of Qur'anic recitation) at Al-Imam Al-Shatibi Institute in Jeddah.
He holds ijazah (certificate of transmission) with an authenticated chain in the recitation of Imam ʿĀṣim through both Ḥafṣ and Shuʿbah. He has more than fifteen years of experience teaching the Qur'an, leading the daily prayers, and serving as an imam for Tarāwīḥ in various mosques and Islamic centers.
Ustadh Hassan earned a bachelor's degree in Middle Eastern Languages and Cultures, with a concentration in Arabic linguistics and a minor in general linguistics, from the University of Washington. He also holds the CELTA qualification in English-language teaching, awarded by Cambridge English (University of Cambridge).
In addition to his Islamic and linguistic studies, he has professional experience working with major tech companies, including Microsoft and Meta.
